RV Investigator Voyage IN2019_T02 ADCP Data

This record describes the Acoustic Doppler Current Profiler (ADCP) data collected from the Marine National Facility RV Investigator voyage IN2019_T02, titled: "Deep seascapes of the Great Barrier Reef: Uncovering submarine canyons and landslides." The voyage took place between October 4 and October 14, 2019 departing from Brisbane (QLD) and arriving in Darwin (NT). ADCP data was only collected from 3 October to 5 October. After this time the transducers were switched off so as not to interfere with other transducers while seafloor mapping was being undertaken. Data was collected using UHDAS and post-processed using CODAS. The RDI Ocean Surveyor 150kHz and 75kHz ADCP were both run in narrowband. They were run from approximately 19:00 UTC 3 October to 12:45 UTC 5 October 2019 and then again briefly from 13:45 11 October to 17:00 11 October. Data for the 11 October has been removed from the data products due its limited value - the short elapsed time and the shallow (approximately 60m) depth. Internal triggering was used. The drop keel was at 2m extension (8.54m below centre of reference) during the data collection period. This dataset was processed and then archived within the CSIRO Oceans and Atmosphere (O&A) Information and Data Centre (IDC) in Hobart.
