WAMSI Node 3.5 - Biological oceanography - Particulate Organic Matter

Four separate field experiments of ~3 to 6 wk duration were conducted in both May and November 2007 and 2008. During each experiment, Eulerian water column sampling was regularly conducted at 6 fixed stations. At each sampling location, 2 replicate 20 litre surface water samples were taken and filtered within 2 hours for chlorophyll a and particulate nutrient concentrations. These measurements were used to determine phytoplankton uptake rates and supply within Ningaloo Reef
